The new dean will build on a unique programmatic mix, a university strategic plan and strong business and student advisory boards to move the College forward.

Founded in 1871 and affiliated with the Methodist Church since 1899, ONU has an enrollment of approximately 3300 students from 34 states and 25 countries and offers more than 70 programs of study on a scenic 342 acre campus in rural northwest Ohio. The undergraduate student body boasts an impressive average ACT of 26 and an average high school GPA of 3.6. Freshmen to sophomore year retention averages 87 %. ONU is ranked No. 2 among Midwest regional colleges by U.S. News and World Report in Best Colleges 2016. ONU is ranked first in both the state of Ohio and the Great Lakes region and second in the nation by College Factual in its 2016 “Best Colleges for the Money” rankings; this national ranking was recently highlighted by USA Today. ONU also was named one of the nation’s best universities in terms of “value-added,” according to a 2015 report published by a unit of the Brookings Institution.

ONU seeks a dean who will differentiate and brand the DCBA as a destination for undergraduate and graduate students, who will work with faculty to develop curricular and co-curricular initiatives to ensure that the college’s offerings are responsive to student needs, who will partner across the university in support of the University’s strategic plan and who can build a culture of giving that leverages the college’s current endowments and external advisory board.

The successful candidate will possess the terminal degree or its equivalent and demonstrate increasing responsibility as an academic or business leader.
